The recent Confidant Connect Live event showcased the enduring commitment of Hyatt Inclusive Collection to strengthen its ties with travel advisors, a crucial element for mutual success. Carolina Bellina, a senior director, highlighted the importance of these gatherings, noting that advisors frequently express appreciation not only for the recognition but also for the deeper understanding they gain about the brand. “The feedback we receive from advisors is invaluable; they share insights on emerging trends, our strengths, and areas for improvement,” Bellina explained. Additionally, participants get an inside look at the operational aspects of the brand, including branding strategies that they may not typically encounter.
Mark Benson, an associate vice president of sales and strategy, emphasized the event’s intentional design from its inception in 2020. “We aimed to create a coveted experience that advisors would aspire to achieve each year,” Benson stated. This consistent structure, featuring the same weekend and qualifying criteria each time, has contributed to the event becoming a prestigious experience. A new leaderboard will soon allow advisors to monitor their progress toward qualification for upcoming events, further enhancing motivation and engagement.

Despite the competitive atmosphere, Bellina reassured that the spirit remains collaborative. “It’s not about ranking first or second; every advisor here embodies excellence,” she said. The event serves as a platform for advisors to network and share ideas, promoting a healthy rivalry that motivates all attendees.
The opportunity to celebrate new faces each year reflects the event’s ability to attract fresh talent. This year, approximately 70% of the honorees were first-time attendees, with only two advisors having participated in all six events. Bellina offered valuable advice to those aspiring to join in the future: “Advisors must register their bookings in Confidant Collective. Immediate registration is key to ensuring you don’t miss the qualifying period.”

For many advisors, the sense of community at these events is just as essential as the accolades. Shalene Dudley, a three-time Top 100 honoree, expressed that attending yields invaluable updates and connections with Hyatt’s leadership. “The knowledge shared here allows me to confidently represent various properties, knowing the people behind them,” she remarked.
First-time participant Rachael Shilling, a Destination Wedding Expert from British Columbia, highlighted how the experience exceeded her expectations. “Two years ago, I was struggling, yet I was determined to reach this point. Being named among the Top 100 means that my hard work and aspirations have paid off,” she said.
Both advisors noted the broad scope of offerings from Hyatt Inclusive Collection, featuring over 65 family-friendly resorts and more than 50 adults-only options across multiple brands. Dudley enthused about the staff’s responsiveness, saying, “Even in challenging situations, the team’s dedication makes clients feel valued and encourages return visits.”

Shilling emphasized the diversity within the Hyatt brands, making it easy to cater to different client preferences. “With offerings from Hyatt Vivid for the trendy crowd to Dreams for family-friendly experiences, I’m confident recommending properties,” she continued. “Every wedding I’ve organized has been a success, showcasing the quality Hyatt represents.”
Reflecting on the value of attending the conference, Shilling expressed gratitude for the community she found. “Meeting peers I wouldn’t have interacted with otherwise is motivating, and I’m eager to qualify again next year,” she concluded, emphasizing the growing network of support within the Hyatt brand.
