Marriott International’s St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has unveiled an exciting new brand tier: St. Regis Estates. This innovative concept draws from the illustrious history of the Astor family, who were instrumental in the Gilded Age and were the founders of the original St. Regis Hotel in New York City, established in 1904.
St. Regis Estates Concept
George Fleck, senior vice president and global brand leader of St. Regis, described the St. Regis Estates as a portfolio of luxury accommodations that feature significant historical backgrounds, expansive grounds, and extraordinary amenities. “Each estate is chosen for its narrative power, architectural character, and expansive, cinematic setting,” Fleck stated, emphasizing a focus on providing a more enchanted and residential resort experience.
Launching the First St. Regis Estate
The first property to embrace this new branding will be the esteemed The Resort at Pelican Hill located near Newport Beach, California. Following an extensive renovation, the resort will be renamed The Resort at Pelican Hill, A St. Regis Estate in 2027. Marriott International took over management of this luxurious resort last year and has plans for its eventual inclusion in the St. Regis portfolio.
Renovation Plans and Enhancements
The upcoming renovations of the 504-acre Pelican Hill resort include enhancements to its renowned Tom Fazio-designed golf courses, a redesign of its bungalows and villas, and the introduction of a new chef-led culinary venue. Additional upgrades will encompass the property’s pool, spa, and bar area, alongside significant improvements to the lobby. A new pool cafe and clubhouse will also be added, enhancing the overall guest experience.
Signature St. Regis Amenities
In line with the luxurious offerings of the St. Regis brand, the resort will feature signature amenities such as butler service, afternoon tea, and the traditional champagne sabrage. These enhancements aim to create an unparalleled luxury experience for guests, further solidifying St. Regis’s commitment to excellence in hospitality.
In summary, the launch of St. Regis Estates marks an exciting advancement in luxury travel, combining rich history with modern rejuvenation at notable destinations like The Resort at Pelican Hill. This initiative underscores Marriott International’s dedication to offering distinctive and memorable experiences for its guests.
